Francis Turbines

Turbine case:

We make the machine structure from thick carbon steel and a descending spiral feed manifold.

Distributor:

The regulation of the amount of water entering the turbine is done through the distributor, which at the same time has the task of creating the water vortex inside the machine. The main construction features are:

  • Movable stainless steel guide vanes
  • Mechanical wedge-locking between shovel and arm with direction adjustment
  • All moving parts slide on anti-friction material, thus ensuring a long service life
  • 24 Vdc electric or hydraulic distributor movement actuator

Francis impeller:

We construct the impeller in three different possible ways:

  • Casting: a dedicated model is built and the impeller is cast as a single block
  • Milling from solid: the impeller is machined from a single block through 5-axis continuous machining
  • Composite: if individual parts of the Francis wheel are machined separately and then the whole is assembled and fixed by welding

Discharge:

We make the exhaust in two ways according to construction requirements:

  • Vertical cone
  • Horizontal cone
